Project Manager

Samuel Aggray Chambi, an Ashoka East Africa alumnus, has over a decade of experience working across government and non-governmental organizations, managing projects and building strategic partnerships between the private sector, government, and MSME actors. He currently serves as Project Manager at CARE Tanzania and is a passionate youth empowerment enthusiast.

He is experienced in project management, skills training, consultancy and research, and managing public-private partnerships (PPPs), while enhancing youth economic empowerment by linking them to skills-for-employment training and job opportunities.

 In his career, Samuel forged and formalized over 112 MSMEs partnerships, expanding access to finance for marginalized peoples, and enhancing access to employment for over 45,000 youth, and women. He contributed to shaping Tanzania’s National Microfinance Act (2018), linked youth for access to finance through Saving Groups and actively contributed to improving the Tanzania Non-Formal Learning (NFL) systems in collaboration with the Institute of Adult Education (IAE) and the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MoEST).
