Ms. Prudence Masako is a development leader with over 20 years of experience advancing socio-economic transformation in Tanzania through strategic leadership, organizational management, and gender-transformative programming, with strong understanding of development, partnership, and policy dynamics across East and Southern Africa.
As Country Director of CARE Tanzania, she leads initiatives in agricultural value chains, food systems, nutrition, health, climate resilience, and community adaptation. She is skilled in policy advocacy, government relations, Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Accountability (MEAL), stakeholder engagement, mentorship, and coaching.
Prudence has raised around $25M since she joined CARE Tanzania in 2022 and is recognized for advancing scalable, locally grounded, practical, and cost-effective solutions that strengthen livelihoods, resilience, and inclusive economic growth across communities.
