CARE Tanzania empowering women and girls’ approach is envisioning on the equal value of every human being and the importance of respecting and honoring everyone. The empowering women and girls approach brings women and girls at the center of all programming in the course of realizing meaningful social development that leaves no one behind. 

The approach focuses on building agencies, changing relations, and transforming structures to support people especially women and girls to experience greater equality in their lives.  

CARE recognizes that adding value in empowering women and girls is by working with others to contribute toward transformative social change. We will focus on the rights of women, adolescent girls, and marginalized groups in three areas critical to achieving empowering women and girls: eliminating violence against women and girls’, increasing women’s and girls’ voice and leadership, women economic Justice equal access to quality education and working with women lead/right organization.
