"CARE Tanzania's unwavering commitment and exceptional contributions to the Tanzanian Cashew Industry"

What an achievement as CARE Tanzania Country Director, Ms. Prudence Masako, stood tall as she graciously accepted an accolade on behalf of CARE Tanzania at the Tanzania Cashew Industry Stakeholder Meeting in Tanga on Friday, August 18, 2023. This prestigious recognition echoes as a tangible testament to CARE Tanzania’s unwavering commitment and exceptional contributions to the Tanzanian Cashew Industry.

This award is an embodiment of CARE collective endeavors across crucial fronts. From catalyzing the Cashew Sector’s development to uplifting the livelihoods of smallholder farmers, CARE footprint is imprinted through the innovative Cashew Value Chain Manual. This comprehensive training, executed together with strategic partners such as the Cashew Board Tanzania, TARI Naliendele, MATI Mtwara, Mkinga District Council, and Out-Growers, symbolizes CARE Tanzania’s dedication to holistic growth.

Adding a spark of distinction was the presence of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Antony Mavunde. His passionate emphasis on continued collaboration to empower cashew farmers with education, capital, and amplified crop value echoes our own dedication. His visionary stride toward producing and processing a resounding 700,000 MT of cashews by 2026 resonates profoundly with CARE Tanzania’s commitment to contributing to the nation’s economic aspirations.
