UPDATE

From February 21 to 24, 2024, our dedicated team of experts in hygiene promotion, gender-based violence awareness, and protection measures joined forces with local authorities, including the departments for health, community development, and the police gender desk. CARE Tanzania conducted comprehensive training sessions to empower the affected population with vital knowledge and skills.

The training initiatives focused on crucial areas such as hygiene promotion to prevent spreading infectious diseases like diarrhea, cholera, and anthrax, which pose significant risks to displaced communities. Additionally, CARE International in Tanzania addressed gender-based violence awareness, equipping individuals with the tools to recognize and prevent threats and vulnerabilities faced by women, girls, and children.

For a period of four days, over 327 individuals attended these sessions, marking a significant step forward in providing essential support and psychological relief to those affected.
